Third suspect indicted in Anniston Guard Members Murder

A third suspect in the 2012 killing of a National Guard member in Anniston has been indicted. 37 year old Kenyata Demetris Burton, was indicted by a Calhoun county grand jury charged with murder. Burton and two others are accused in the April 6, 2012, shooting death of 24 year old Dequirea Royal, at Constantine Homes in Anniston. 23 year old Kenmonte Jacobe Winsley, was arrested that month and 25 year old Demontae Antwon Jones, was arrested in November. All three men face murder charges. Burton was arrested by police in Columbus, Ga., early in July and was taken to Anniston on July 10. He's being held on a $100,000 bond. Royal was a sergeant and a cook for the Alabama National Guard's 167th Forward Support Company, which is based in Oxford.
