Etowah County School Board bans all weapons from school campuses including sporting events

Under alabama’s new gun law which went into effect august 1st, it left the possibility of guns being allowed at high school football games unless the schools have a posted policy. Etowah County School supt. Alan Cosby says the Etowah county school board has voted to ban all weapons from it’s campuses. The school system is in the process of posting the signs required under the new law to prohibit weapons on the school campuses including high school football games. The ban does not apply to law enforcement officials who may be armed.
