Police investigating rash of vehicle break ins

Anniston police are investigating a rash of vehicle break ins. The department received 19 police reports of vehicle breakin ins Tuesday night and Wednesday morning. All the vehicle owners reported their cars were unlocked during the thefts. Two cars were broken into on Coleman Drive, six on Nocoseka Trail, two on Sprague Avenue and three on Cambridge Place. Items taken from the cars ranged from small amounts of cash, a purse, a tablet computer and a GPS.
