Hokes Bluff man sentenced to 25 years in child porn case

A 30 year old Hokes Bluff man was sentenced Wednesday to 25 years in prison yesterday after pleading guilty to possessing child pornography. Jonathan Wesley Greene was sentenced by Circuit Judge Billy Ogletree. Greene entered a guilty plea in February to 14 counts of possession of obscene material. Ogletree sentenced Greene to 25 years for each count, all to run concurrently, because of his status as a habitual offender. Prosecutors said Greene had more than 1,500 images and 50 videos "depicting obscene material involving very young children." Most of the items involved children who appeared to be under the age of 10. Investigators said it appeared all of the material was acquired through the Internet and that Greene likely did not produce any of it himself.
