Anniston woman charged with scalding boyfriend with hot grease

Police arrested a 47 year old Anniston woman Tuesday after she allegedly poured hot grease on her boyfriend during an argument. Carolyn Ann Sims, was charged with felony second-degree domestic violence. Police were called to a home tuesday afternoon on West 29th Street. A 52-year-old man told police he was visiting Sims at her home when she got upset with him. During their argument, Sims reportedly poured hot grease on the victim’s upper body. The victim suffered second-degree burns and was taken to Stringfellow Memorial Hospital for treatment.
