Two charged in Rainbow City robbery

Rainbow City Police have charged two men already in custody with the july robbery of a gas station in connection with an earlier robbery of a Rainbow City Pizza Hut.
26 year old Derick Rayshun Williams, and 19 year old Patrick Louis Ray, were charged with first-degree robbery for the July 14 robbery of the restaurant.
Police said two men, one of them armed with a pistol, entered the restaurant and threatened the employees before leaving with the cash register. The pair then ran to a waiting vehicle in the parking lot of Western Sizzlin and fled.
Williams and Ray already were in custody for allegedly robbing the Kangaroo Express on Rainbow Drive July 26.
