Former Cherokee County detention officer arrested

A former employee in the Cherokee County Detention Facility has been arrested on charges of bringing contraband into the jail. Former Corrections Officer 33 year old Rebecca Alyse Cuddy, was arrested and charged with promoting prison contraband. She worked at the facility before resigning. Cuddy was booked into the detention facility and released on bond on the misdemeanor charge.
The investigation was conducted by the sheriff’s office and the district attorney’s Office. The case remains under investigation.
