Anniston names new School Supt.

A former Anniston High School principal has been selected by the Anniston school board to become the systems new Supt.  48 year old

Darren Douthitt accepted the job by phone Friday after the Anniston Board of Education unanimously voted to hire him at a base annual salary of $120,000. Douthitt, was selected from four candidates the board interviewed for the job this month. He will replace Superintendent Joan Frazier who will retire at the end of the school year.
