Arrest made in New Years death of JSU student

Authorities in Huntsville have arrested a 34 year old man for the murder of a Jacksonville State University student.  Lopez Rice has been chared with the murder of 21-year-old Mercedes Morris. Morris was shot to death in Huntsville on New Year's Day.  Investigators say Morris was in a parked car outside a house in Huntsville when several people began firing shots.  A bullet struck Morris in the back.  She later died at Huntsville Hospital.
