Gadsden man arrested on drug charges

A 29 year old Gadsden man was arrested Wednesday on multiple felony drug charges after authorities executed a search warrant on his residence.  Amos Cash, has been charged with drug trafficking, two counts of distribution of a controlled substance, two counts of possession of a controlled substance and one count of first-degree possession of marijuana. Drug Enforcement Unit agents executed a search warrant on Cash’s Oakleigh Drive residence Wednesday morning where they found a trafficking-level amount of crack cocaine, some marijuana that already had been packaged for sale and a small amount of prescription drugs, namely clonazepam and Xanax.  Agents also recovered a handgun, two assault rifles and a shotgun. The search was the culmination of a three-week investigation following complaints about activity at the home.
