Students held in school while police search for armed robber



Some  The Blount County Sheriff's Office is still searching for a black male suspect involved in the robbery. Authorities have a white female suspect in custody. The armed robbery happened in the Nectar community of Blount County. A state troopers' helicopter assisted in the search for the suspect.  Blount County Schools superintendent Jim Carr said he was notified by the sheriff's office at 3 p.m. Monday that deputies were pursuing someone who may be dangerous.  The sheriff's office asked Carr to hold the bus routes for two Blount County schools while they searched for the suspect. Two bus routes from Cleveland schools and one from Hayden were affected.  All of the students were delivered to their homes safely.
Blount County students were released from school late Monday after three bus routes were halted while authorities searched for an armed robbery suspect.
