Sheriff apologizes for deputies bad judgement

Etowah County Sheriff Todd Entrekin issued a statement today apologizing for poor direction given by one of his deputies that has left a few individuals facing additional burdens today.  The Sheriff said One of his deputy's gave bad advice that has left several motorist searching for their vehicles.  The sheriff said he apologizes to you if you are one of those citizens who had their vehicle towed because of the deputy's poor judgement.  The sheriff said he wants them to know that he is addressing the problem.  If you believe a deputy provided you poor guidance and have concerns and questions, please contact Chief Deputy Michael Barton at 256-546-2825, leave your name and a contact number so that he can discuss the matter with you.  Overall, the sheriff said he was very pleased with how the Sheriff's Office operated during the gridlock and confusion.
