Preliminary Hearing for murder suspect reveals more details in Gadsden murders

Cedrick Orlando Young

More information on the August double murder on the Meighan Bridge in Gadsden was divulged during a Thursday preliminary for suspects in the case.   Gadsden Police Investigator Terri Ferris testified that her investigation led her to believe 28 year old Cedric Orlando Young, of Mobile, was the one who shot 35 year old Jabari Player, and 51 year old Billy Baker in the early morning hours of Aug. 17.  Young and three others  24 year old Errik Laderron Hughley, of Gadsden, 23 year old Willie O’Bryant Mosley, of Mobile, and 25 year old Cordaryl Deveron Craig, of Birmingham  have each been charged with two counts of capital murder.  Thursday’s hearing before Circuit Judge Allen Millican was to determine whether there was probable cause to send the case to grand jury for indictment.  Millican’s ruling is expected within a few days.  Mosley, Hughley and Craig already have been bound over for the grand jury.
