Body recovered from Weiss lake

A woman's body was found Friday afternoon in Lake Weiss. The Cherokee County Sheriff's Department reported around 4:45 p.m. a man fishing spotted  the woman's body
floating in the lake behind Yellow Creek Missionary  Baptist Church.
The sheriff's department along with authorities in Leesburg responded to the scene. The body
was recovered from the lake and sent to the Department of Forensic Sciences in Huntsville to determine the woman's identity and cause of death.
