Talladega wreck claims life of Lincoln Woman

Talladega Police report a two-vehicle accident on Jackson Trace Road Monday morning claimed the life of a Lincoln woman..
86 year old  Ernestine Dubovy Johnston was airlifted by LifeSaver helicopter to University of Alabama Birmingham Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
The second driver, 19 year old Jade Alexis Dalton, of Talladega, was transported to the emergency room of Citizens Baptist Medical Center in Talladega with relatively minor injuries.
Poliice say that based on witness statements, the 2011 Nissan Versa driven by Johnston pulled out and was hit broadside the 2014 Lexus IS250 driven by Dalton. The wreck happened on Jackson Trace Road just past the intersection with the 275 Bypass.
Both vehicles were totaled.
The accident remained under investigation by the Talladega Police Department.
