Southside woman charged with chemical endangerment

An Etowah County woman has been arrested for chemical endangerment of a child.
36 year old Christina Goodson Amberson, of Southside, was charged on July 16 with one count of chemical endangerment of exposing a child to an environment in which controlled substances are ingested, produced or distributed, which is a felony.
Amberson admitted to using methamphetamine. She is approximately 5 months pregnant.
Amberson has previously been arrested for the same charge and was out on bond when she was arrested.
She is being detained in the Etowah County Detention Center on $10,000 cash bond.
