
Investigators with the Etowah County Sheriff’s Office continue their
investigation into a Saturday night incident that left a woman with six
gunshot.

Littlecalled 911 about 9:30 p.m. Saturday from her Gnatville Road residence,
which is in Etowah County but has a Piedmont address. She told dispatchers she
had shot a woman at her residence multiple times. Both women were inside the
residence when they got into a physical altercation because the victim refused
to leave.
Deputies arrived at the scene
to find the victim in the living room. She had been shot three times in the arm
and three times in the chest during a struggle with Little.
Investigators said The victim’s injuries did
not appear to be life-threatening.
Little told deputies that the altercation began after she had asked the
other woman to leave the residence, and the woman did not.
Little was taken into custody after midnight Sunday and was released Monday
from the Etowah County Detention Center. Warrants charging her in connection
with the incident have not been obtained.
