Jacksonville police say the suspect in the
June shooting of a Calhoun County man turned himself into police Tuesday
afternoon.
Investigators said 21-year-old Jeremee Bernard Griffin, of Douglasville, Georgia, came to the police station with his attorney and surrendered.
Officers arrested Griffin for attempted murder and robbery with a weapon. Police said Griffin shot Vilas Patel outside a house on Mountain Street on June 16.
Griffin is currently held in the Calhoun County Jail on $100,000 bond. His preliminary hearing is set for August 11.
