Talladega Banking Scam

Investigators in Talladega have alerted customers of a Talladega bank about a potential phone scam.
It's a robo-call claiming a bank account has been frozen because someone is trying to use a customer's credit or debit card.
The call then asks the victim to press 1 to speak with the security department or enter their credit card number.
First National Bank in Talladega says this same scam happens across the country but it's the first time this area has been targeted with a large number of calls.
Officials want to remind residents that since banks have your personal information they won't call to ask for your account number, card number or passwords.
When a bank wants to verify your identity it will only ask for partial information, like the last four digits of your Social Security number.
And if you're unsure about the call just hang up and call your bank directly.
