Weaver man charged with rape

Calhoun County Sheriffs Deputies have arrested a 19-year-old Weaver man   charging him with raping  a 14-year-old Wellington girl.
Investigators say the incident took place between July 1 and July 12. The man was arrested Saturday, charged with second-degree rape and interfering with custody.
Calhoun County Sheriff Larry Amerson said the girl had run away from home, and investigators found her staying with the 19-year-old. Upon talking with the two, investigators discovered that there had been alleged sexual contact between them..
 The Sheriff said that Even if consensual, that’s a felony,”
Amerson said The matter is still under investigation.
