Anniston animal rescue cited for animal cruelty



Calhoun county authorities have cited An Anniston animal rescue for animal cruelty.Animal control officers issued multiple animal cruelty citations to the Mad Cattery cat rescue group on Old Gadsden Highway.  Animal control workers allege they found multiple cats living with no water or food and that one cat was found dead. There was also a flea infestation.  Eleven cats were seized from the facility and are being treated at the Calhoun County Animal Control Facility. Animal control officers say 49 cats were in the Mad Cattery.
