Two Killed in Guntersville Crash

Police say two people have been killed and nine others have been injured in a crash on a highway in Guntersville.

State troopers say the accident Sunday afternoon involved a pickup that was carrying more than 10 children and flipped on U.S. Highway 431. The other car involved in the crash was carrying four people. State troopers were unsure of their medical conditions.

State trooper Richard Suttle  says authorities are unsure of how many children were riding in the back of the truck. He says they obviously couldn’t have all fit in the truck’s cab, and authorities are working to identify the victims.

The cause of the crash wasn’t immediately clear.
