Home of Jacksonville Police officer destroyed by Sunday morning fire

Officials say the home of a Jacksonville police officer was destroyed by fire Sunday morning while he and his family were out of town.  The fire started at 3:13 a.m. Sunday morning at the home of Jacksonville police officer Dale Edwards on 8th Street and 11th Avenue in Jacksonville.  The cause of the fire is still under investigation.  The family was out of state during the fire and “are returning to find their house, belongings and automobiles destroyed  Clothing and supplies for the Edwards can be donated at the Jacksonville Police Department.
