Etowah drug bust



The Etowah county drug task force arrested Four people Tuesday morning after police discovered a large amount of methamphetamine in a local hotel room.  32 year old Robert William Gee, 30 year old Kristy Marie Spurlock Richardson,  and  33 year old Jason Ray Boyd,  all of Gadsden; and 21 year old Krista Michelle Calhoun, of Collinsville, all were charged with drug trafficking. They allegedly had 12 ounces of meth in their room at the time they were arrested.  Gadsden police were called to the hotel early Tuesday morning. to deal with an irate man in a hotel room with possible drug activity. When officers knocked on the door to do a welfare check, they heard a lot of movement in the room before Calhoun answered the door.  When officers entered, they saw syringes and synthetic marijuana in the hotel room. After getting permission to search the entire room, they found the meth.  All four were taken to the Etowah County Detention Center. Gee is being held on $20,500 bond, the others on $20,000 bond each.
