Rainbow City police investigating weekend robbery

Police in Rainbow city are investigating the reported  Sunday night robbery of a local restaurant.  Police said Two men one armed with a pistol, walked into Pizza Hut about 9 p.m. Sunday night and demanded the money from the cash register. When employees opened the register, the robbers took the money and the drawer and left the store.  The two men ran to the parking lot of Western Sizzlin, where a dark green or black, late 1980s to early 1990s Chevrolet Lumina was waiting, and then fled the scene.
