Gadsden dancer shot in foot

Gadsden Police are investigating the case of a woman who was shot in the foot early Tuesday morning. However, her wound didn't keep her from heading into work at am Attalla dance club.   According to Capt. Bobby Jackson the incident happened about 5 a.m. Tuesday morning. The woman was walking near the intersection of 12th Street and Forrest Avenue when she was approached by someone from behind.  The unseen woman said, "Got you," and called the victim an obscene name. The woman then heard one gunshot, began running, and heard another. At this point, she noticed she had been wounded in the foot.   The woman didn't report the incident to police until 11 p.m. In the meantime, she told investigators that immediately after the shooting, she walked to a convenience store on  Meighan Boulevard where she bought a pack of cigarettes. She then returned home to treat her foot, and went to work that evening at a dance club in Attalla.  When she got to work, her boss ordered her to go to the hospital for treatment.
