Police searching for 4 suspects in Jacksonville Bank Robbery



Jacksonville police are searching today for four men in connection with the Wednesday morning of a Jacksonville bank.  Jacksonville police chief Tommy Thompson said the men entered the Wells Fargo bank shortly after it opened Wednesday morning.   Thompson said three armed men entered the bank and fled in a waiting vehicle driven by a 4th man.  The vehicle was found abandoned just blocks away from the bank, police said the car had been reported stolen in Gadsden the day before.   Thompson said  investigators have been reviewing surveillance video from surrounding businesses in hopes of obtaining a description of the second getaway vehicle.  The Chief said that a customers cell phone taken in the robbery was recovered along hiway 78 and investigators believe the four may have fled into Georgia.   Police are asking anyone with information to contact Jacksonville police at 256-435-6448.
