Etowah County to hold gun law course



Etowah County Sheriff Todd Entrekin, along with Etowah County District Attorney Jimmie Harp, will be  hosting legal update training on Alabamas new gun legislation as a result of Senate Bill 286 this wednesday.  An attorney with the State of Alabama Office of Prosecution Services (OPS) will speak about the legislation concerning the changes to Alabama’s firearms laws.   Business owners, education administrators or a chosen representative is invited to attend the training that will be held Wednesday, July 24, at the Senior Activity Center on Broad Street in Downtown Gadsden.   Three courses will be offered: 9:00 – 11:00 a.m., 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. or 3:00 – 5:00 p.m.
SB 286 becomes effective August 1, 2013.  There is no need to register for the free training.
