Anniston man surrenders on theft charge



A 25 year old  Anniston man is facing theft charges after surrendering earlier this week to Anniston police in connection with the theft of a refrigeration coil from a local grocery store, where he had been employed.  Ricky Nelson Bragg, was charged with a felony charge of first-degree theft.
The theft was discovered when Bragg was pulled over by a Calhoun County Sheriffs deputy on June 11th.  The deputy noticed the refrigerator coil in the back of the vehicle and discovered it was taken from Winn-Dixie on U.S. 431.
Police said  Bragg intended to scrap the coil, which is worth $3,264.
Bragg has been freed on a $10,000 bond from the Anniston City Jail
