An Altoona man is accused of traveling to Jefferson County
to meet a 15-year-old girl for sex.
Billy Jason Rigsby is being held in the Jefferson County Jail on a
$90,000 bond. He has been charged with soliciting by computer and traveling to
meet a child for sex. Gardendale Police Detective Kyle Pannell says Rigsby met
the girl through a social media site.
Rigsby is listed as a representative for the Blount County Youth
Basketball League on their Facebook page. The league's vice president, Michael
Wright, released a statement stating that Rigsby has been suspended from any
involvement or affiliations with basketball league .
