Anniston man indicted for attempted murder

An Anniston man is facing an attempted murder charge for allegedly shooting a woman while in her car in February.  Jaquavious Akeem Weathers, was charged after a Calhoun County Grand jury returned an indictment charging him with the attempted murder of Alexis Mercedes McRath.  Weathers was arrested Feb. 7, charged with attempted murder, possession of a controlled substance, first-degree assault and shooting a firearm into a vehicle.  Weathers is charged with shooting into a 2005 Chevrolet Malibu occupied by McRath on Feb. 1. Weathers was released from jail Feb. 8. on a $20,000 bond.
