Hokes Bluff Mayor dies

Hokes Bluff Mayor Gary Reeves died early Monday in a Birmingham Hospital. The 73 year old Reeves, died from health complications about 6:30 a.m. Monday morning.  City officials said Reeves had congestive heart failure.  Reeves served as a member of the Hokes Bluff City Council from 2003 to 2008. He defeated incumbent Tim Langdale in 2008 to become mayor, then was re-elected in 2012, defeating Kathy Elizey.  Glencoe-Hokes Bluff Funeral Home is handling arrangements.  Arrangements will be posted on www.cityofhokesbluff.com
