Oxford Police are looking for a man who robbed a service
station Friday night and took an undisclosed amount of cash. Lt. L.G. Owens said the incident happened at
a Chevron station at U.S. 78 and Barry Street last Friday at 9:08 p.m. A man entered the store, standing about 5
feet 10 inches tall, with dreadlocks. He wore latex gloves, a long-sleeved
T-shirt, blue jeans, red shoes and a dark ballcap. The man carried a
semi-automatic pistol and demanded money, then ran out and fled on foot behind
the store. Police are asking Anyone with information to call the Oxford Police
Department's anonymous tip-line at (256) 835-6122.
