Gander Mtn. opens new Gadsden Store

Over a hundred people were in line early Tuesday to be among the first customers of Gadsdens newest retail development.  Gander Mountain, the largest retailer of firearms and ammunition opened its doors to customers tuesday at the new River Trace Shopping Center next to the goodyear plant. City officials and other dignitaries gathered to help officially welcome the store. Gadsden mayor Sherman Guyton says the new store is part of some carefully planned moves that are pushing the city of Gadsden one step closer to being a destination city.  The stores manager Chad Clow says the new 55,000 square foot store was completed quickly with a lot of help. The store’s hours are Monday through Friday 9:00AM thorough 9:00PM, Saturdays from 8:00AM to 9:00PM and Sundays from 10:00AM until 8:00PM. An official grand opening is slated for later this month.
