Daisy Duke to appear at "Altoona Days"

Altoona, in western Etowah county will be holding their annual Altoona day this Saturday with two well-known faces from popular television shows on hand for the towns fifth annual event.  Catherine Bach, who played Daisy Duke on “The Dukes of Hazzard” will be at the festival, signing autographs and meeting the public, along with John Voldstad, better known as My Other Brother Darryl from “Newhart,”.  The festival kicks off at 10 a.m. on Sixth Avenue, near Exchange Bank, in Altoona. Sixth Avenue off Alabama Highway 132 will be closed for the event and parking will be available at several locations. Several bands from oldies, classic rock and gospel will be performing.
