Search for teen in Blount County Lake

Units from the Blount County Sheriff’s Office, Blount County Rescue Squad, and several other agencies are searching Highland Lake for a teen who fell from a boat Thursday. Sheriff Loyd Arrington said the 15-year-old from Ragland was in a boat with two others at time of the accident, and that a ball cap was discovered shortly after the teen fell into the lake.

The teenager was working with a private company that was inspecting docks for the town of Highland Lake, according to the sheriff.
