Attalla burglary arrest

Police in Attalla have arrested a 19-year-old Attalla man in connection with the burglary of an Attalla business where he took employees’ money from their desks.  Telvin Collins has been charged with third-degree burglary and third-degree theft of property. Authorities said he broke out the front glass of JCI Finance on Gilberts Ferry Road and searched through the desk drawers of the business, taking about $40 in change.  Collins was arrested a short time later following a brief foot pursuit with police.  Police said Collins did not deny breaking into JCI Finance.  He was taken to Etowah County Detention Center and released on $3,500 bond.
