Gadsden man charged in brothers murder



A 37 year old Gadsden man is being held without bond  charged in connection with the death of his 34 year old brother a week ago in the Tidmore Bend community.Shawn Derrick Williams has been charged with one count of capital murder in the shooting death of Jamey Brent Williams.  Shawn had been a person of interest in the case since last Friday.  He has been held in the Etowah County Detention Center on a second degree assault charge after assaulting a detention deputy while being held for questioning by investigators.   Jamey Brent Williams, was found dead inside his vehicle in the front yard of his residence on Pope Road in Gadsden last Friday morning.  Forensic lab results from evidence gathered by Sheriff’s Office investigators led to Wednesdays murder charge.
