Elderly Anniston woman injured by car

An elderly Anniston woman  was injured Sunday, the indirect result of a domestic dispute between her son and his ex wife.   The 71-year-old victim was taken to Stringfellow Memorial Hospital, where she was treated for injuries Sunday.   The victim said she heard noises coming from the back yard of her residence and saw her son and his ex-wife arguing inside of the ex-wife’s car.The woman said she walked over to the open driver’s-side door, told her son to get out of the car and told the ex-wife to leave. When the ex-wife put the car in reverse and backed the car up, the open door struck the victim and knocked her to the ground.  The ex-wife left the residence with the victim’s son still inside the vehicle. The victim called police and was later taken the hospital.
