Etowah Sheriff named "Rising Republican Star".

Etowah County Sheriff Todd Entrekin has been named a "Rising Republican Star" for this week on the Alabama Republican Party website.  Entrekin has served as Etowah County's sheriff since 2007, when he was appointed by Gov. Bob Riley following the death of Sheriff James Hayes.  The website recounts Entrekin's career and some of his achievements, including his role in the formation of the county's dive team, marine unit and the Joint Special Operations Group.
