Person of interest held in murder of Tidmore Bend man

An Etowah county man was found shot to death Friday morning in front of his  Tidmore Bend home.  Investigators say that 34 year old Jamey Brent Williams  was shot twice, once in the head and once in the chest.  He was found sitting in his Honda Accord outside his trailer on Pope Road.  According to sheriff Todd Entrekin, the body was discovered by Williams’ employer.  Neighbors told investigators they heard two shots around 6:35 a.m. Friday morning.  Deputy Coroner Michael Head said Williams was shot twice with a very high-powered rifle, causing extensive damage. The shots were fired through the driver's side window of the car.  Authorities said they have a person of interest in custody who is being interviewed by investigators.
