Blount County homocide victims identified



Authorities have identified the man and woman found dead inside their home in Blount County..  Blount County Coroner John Mark Vaughn on Wednesday identified the victims as 43-year-old Gary Hazelrig and 36-year-old Rasha Breann Sherrer. A friend found their bodies of them around 1:45 p.m. Tuesday in Locust Fork.  Sherrer is the sister of University of Georgia second-year assistant football coach Kevin Sherrer. Hazelrig is the son of former Blount County schools superintendent Joe Mack Hazelrig. Authorities are investigating the incident as a double homicide. Investigators did not immediately have a motive for the killings.
