Authorities have identified the man and woman found dead
inside their home in Blount County..
Blount County Coroner John Mark Vaughn on Wednesday identified the
victims as 43-year-old Gary Hazelrig and 36-year-old Rasha Breann Sherrer. A
friend found their bodies of them around 1:45 p.m. Tuesday in Locust Fork. Sherrer is the sister of University of
Georgia second-year assistant football coach Kevin Sherrer. Hazelrig is the son
of former Blount County schools superintendent Joe Mack Hazelrig. Authorities
are investigating the incident as a double homicide. Investigators did not
