Former Anniston restaurant owner sentenced in animal cruelty case

Anniston restaurant owner Dave Mogil has been sentenced in an animal cruelty case.  Mogil was sentenced to 10 years, with credit for 18 months in jail, plus 8.5 years of supervised probation.  Circuit Judge Debra Jones also ordered Mogil to attended AA meetings, anger management classes and several different counseling sessions.  Mogil was convicted during the summer of beating his girlfriend's Cocker Spaniel with a water hose until she jumped off a roof above his now-closed restaurant, Damn Yankees. The dog, "Coco Lilly," survived the attack.
