Georgia man killed in Cleburne crash

A Georgia man lost his life in a wreck involving a collision with an unoccupied vehicle and a tree.

ALEA State Troopers identified the deceased as 47-year-old Jeffery Maloy Evans, of Temple, GA. He was declared dead at the scene.

Investigators say the 2002 Freightliner Evans was driving struck an unoccupied Ford Expedition on the shoulder of the interstate before striking a tree.

The crash occurred on Interstate 20 near mile marker 196, three miles west of Heflin.
