Boaz police investigating altercation that sent two men to hospitals

Boaz police are investigating an altercation Wednesday night that sent two men to hospitals, one as the result of a stabbing, the other with a gunshot wound.  Police say the incident occurred about 7:30 p.m. Wednesday on Mann Avenue.  The shooting victim was flown to an undisclosed hospital; the stabbing victim was first treated at a local hospital, then flown to another facility. Investigators have not had an opportunity to talk to the injured men to get a clear picture of what occurred.  Police say it appears that, one subject was stabbed a number of times; then, he is believed to have shot the man who allegedly stabbed him. Police said it appeared the two men were the only ones involved in the incident.
