Adam Kane Wright has been charged with three counts of first-degree assault and one count of leaving the scene of an accident with injuries.  Wright was taken into custody after the crash Sunday afternoon on County Road 71, and taken to Coosa Valley Detention Center in Anniston. Etowah County Chief Deputy Michael Barton said after warrants were obtained against Wright, deputies went to the center and arrested him, bringing him back to Etowah County's jail.  Centre police were in pursuit of Wright from Cherokee County into Etowah County where the crash occurred. Centre police have said officers tried to stop the car Wright was driving and he fled. During the pursuit, officers saw him throw controlled substances from the vehicle.  Wright's vehicle rear-ended a truck driven by a Cherokee County woman, with her two daughters, ages 19 and 11, as passengers.  Two of the injured were airlifted to a Birmingham hospital, and the mother remains hospitalized there now.
