Oxford woman killed and Oxford man injured in North Carolina Shooting



An Oxford woman was killed in a shooting incident in Jacksonville, N.C. Tuesday that left an Oxford man wounded.
According to a news release from police, a shooting incident took place at 11:45 p.m. at the Baymont Inn. Officers responding found 19 yer old Jacob Moore,  and 31 year old  Amanda Price, both of Oxford, with gunshot wounds. Price was transported to Onslow Memorial Hospital where she died of her injuries. Moore was airlifted to Vidant Medical Center in Greenville for treatment.  Police have arrested 27 year old Justin Witt,  and 29 year old Niklaus Froehlich,  both of Hubert, N.C.
Witt is being held without bond for murder, and a $175,000 secured bond for other charges - assault with a deadly weapon, robbery, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and motor vehicle larceny. Froehlich is being held on a $75,000 secured bond as an accessory after the fact and on heroin possession. Investigators say the two went to Moore and Price's hotel room, where the man and woman were shot. Witt and Froehlich left the scene in a car and were taken into custody a few minutes later by police who were canvassing the area.
Police are continuing to investigate.
