Childersburg escapee recaptured

An inmate who escaped from the Childersburg Work Release Center is back behind bars.   Corrections officials say 43-year-old Johnny Caldwell is being held in the Bessemer City Jail. According to officers a member of Caldwell's family tipped off police to his whereabouts. He was captured by Bessemer police Saturday night. He was in a stolen car at the time.  Caldwell walked off his job site just before 10 Saturday morning. He was serving time for robbery.
