District Attorneys office recuses itself from case against Anniston Councilman

Councilman David Reddick

The Calhoun County District Attorney's Office has recused itself from prosecuting Anniston city Councilman David Reddick on harassment charges.
Assistant District Attorney Randy Moeller, previously assigned to the case, said his office sent a letter about two weeks ago to the Alabama Attorney General's office, requesting it assign an outside prosecutor for the trial. The request comes about a month after Reddick was arrested on a charge of harassment that stemmed from a dispute between him and the owner of Ford's Barber Shop on Bynum Leatherwood Road.
