Drug arrests

The St. Clair County Narcotic Investigation Division acted on information about the manufacture of methamphetamine Wednesday and found an active cook inside a Ragland residence. Investigators went to the residence on Broken Arrow Creek and obtained consent to search. They secured the scene and found items for the manufacture and finished product of methamphetamine, according to a press release. The Pell City Fire Department Hazmat team came and assisted with air packs for investigators to process the meth lab.
The two defendants were arrested and transported to the St. Clair County Jail in Pell City. 25 year old Brody Samples,  of Pell City, and 48 year old Billy Deputy,  of Ragland, were charged with unlawful manufacturing of a controlled substance and are being held with no bond.
